Who we're looking for, and what the checks ask for.
You upload it as a PDF, JPG or PNG, and our team checks it. A B.Ed isn't required.
Maths, Science (EVS for Classes 4 and 5), Social Science, English, Hindi or Sanskrit, for any of Classes 4 to 10. You choose the classes you teach.
Teach in one or more of them. Parents can filter tutors by language.
Checked once with a 6-digit code. Parents never see it.
You prove who you are through DigiLocker, with either one. You must be 18 or over. We never store your Aadhaar number.
Add it on your Earnings page any time before your first withdrawal. It's stored encrypted, and our team pays you by bank transfer.

Apply to teach opens StreakOwl's sign-up on I want to teach. Give your full name as on your Aadhaar. Email, Google or mobile sign-up all work.
Enter your +91 number and the 6-digit code we send. You only do this once.
Your classes, subjects, languages, a short bio and your hourly price. This is your application.
Record or upload a short video about you: who you are, what you teach, how you explain. Only our team watches it, and sending it opens the checks.
Your degree certificate, identity through DigiLocker, the child-safety pledge, and Fees & rules.
Our team approves you, and your tutor console opens.

In the app, each rule comes in plain words, and you agree once. If a rule changes, you see it again before new requests.
You set your own price, ₹300 to ₹1,000 an hour.
Parents book at least 12 hours before a class. You answer a request within 24 hours, and no later than 6 hours before the class.
You pick the number. Classes start between 7 am and 8 pm, India time.
Parents see the most active tutors first: the days you opened StreakOwl in the last 30, then how fast you answer requests.
Payments aren't open yet. We'll publish our fee, and when you're paid, before they open.

Every tutor agrees to it before parents can see them. From the pledge:

Going from a child's side to Tutor asks for your parent PIN.
Your family's side stays as it is. Parents who book you see your tutor profile, never your family, and a parent PIN keeps your children out of your tutor side.
